location

Over the last few years the Friedrichshain quarter has really taken off with regard to entertainment establishments and night life. It is now regarded as a meeting point for many artists. A wide choice of clubs is available along the beaches on the banks of the River Sprea, and they are open day and night. The entire area has benefited from the construction of the O2 Arena, the huge concert hall opposite the East Syde Gallery. Westwards along the Wall is the Oberbaumbrücke, one of the must stunning bridges of Berlin, and today the symbol of this city.
Friedrichshain is the place to meet for a coffee, but it is more than that, as it represents the heart of Berlin night-life. This quarter is packed with bars, cafés, pubs, underground clubs, fashion boutiques, low cost designer outlets, night clubs and discos. It is the home of Berghain Panoramambar, considered by many the most amazing disco in the world. It is in the vicinity of the River Sprea, and is famous not only for its halls where techno, minimal and house music are on offer, but also for its Dark Room, where all is allowed. They say that Friedrichshain is like the big apple, the quarter that never sleeps.
